Claire O'Brien, who seems to think that laws and mores don't apply to her, posted a child porn picture on the fuckedforum.com board and has been permanently banned on Sunday, June fifteenth.

The picture that she posted was a photoshopped picture of fuckedforum poster James Harvey Marks III and his girlfriend's son. James Marks, a 52 year old art history major who lives in Humboldt County and who posts as James, MovieWhore, Hello, Fixed, Greasy Grass, Modern Christian and dozens of other monickers (his spelling), is a well-known troll and stalker from the old fuckedcompany.com days. He's as well known on the boards for his stalking and threats against other users as he is for fathering a bastard son with a girl 29 years younger than him while he was on probation for not paying child support to his third wife for their daughter (who he refers to as Demon Spawn). He is still married to that third wife, Adair Hansen Marks, though they've been seperated for many years. Supposedly she refuses to divorce him because she's trying to avoid getting stuck with the many liens and judgements that resulted from his failed photography businesses.

The PhotoShopped picture was made from a picture that was posted on both James and his ex-girlfriend's old blogs. It shows the child playing naked about a foot or so from a lit woodburning stove, with what appear to be newspapers piled underneath it. OK, we're not even going to go into how stupid that is.

Suffice it to say, the picture was later PhotoShopped. A nude, dark-skinned, overweight man with graying body hair was pasted into the picture behind the boy. Use your imagination to fill in the rest of the details if you wish, but let's simply say that it's a disgusting image.

Someone posted a link to a copy of the picture that's sitting on the old fuckedcompany.com imagedump site, which is still in operation even though the fuckedcompany.com board has been closed over two years. That imagedump site is sort of a minature flickr site, where people can post images more or less anonymously.

Claire, for whatever insane reason, downloaded a copy of the picture and uploaded it to the fuckedforum.com imagedump, then posted it with her ValerieSolanas moniker. Naturally, it was quickly deleted by the owner of fuckedforum.com, but here's a screenshot, with the child's face and body and the nudity airbrushed. Though one can never be sure what is going on in Claire O'Brien's head and what possessed her to post the image, she claims that she posted it to get her archenemy Sean Findley and ARSE put in prison. How her posting a disgusting child pornography picture of the son of someone that is supposedly one of her friends on fuckedforum was supposed to get Sean and ARSE put in prison was anyone's guess.

Regardless, every post on the board made by Claire O'Brien under her ValerieSolanas moniker was changed to say the following by the owner of fuckedforum.com:

With the exception of 25.24.127.52, which is apparently a proxy server IP address that she used during a short term ban from the board, all of those IP addresses trace to the same Mexican ISP.

Claire O'Brien of Playa del Carmen turned 52 today. She spent the day posting on fuckedforum.com as ValerieSolanas about how evil her enemies are and denying that she's actually Claire O'Brien.

Unfortunately, the gentleman who was kind enough to loan Claire fifty dollars when she was homeless (that she later refused to pay back) kind of blew that lie right out of the water. He usually posts as MagBas or some variation on that moniker, but is now posting as Zulu_Dawn.

One of Claire's stalking victims, ARSE, spoke with MagBas/Zulu_Dawn on the phone about Claire, and MagBas/Zulu_Dawn confirmed that the fuckedforum stalker known as ValerieSolanas is indeed Claire O'Brien. In this post, ARSE and MagBas/Zulu_Dawn are discussing their phone conversation.

True, but I did sort of trick you into admitting that Val's name is Claire O'Brien (which she's currently denying) and that she picked up the money you so graciously sent her at a liqour store because she doesn't even have a checking account.

To be more exact, I said something like (this is all approximate)

It seems that Claire O'Brien went a bit too far and what she refers to on her stalker blog as the "main site", http://vigilante-services.hostsnake.com, was shut down, apparently for a TOS (terms of service) violation.

Well, I'm sure you're all as shocked as I am to hear that. :) This came shortly after the news that she had also lost literally every one of the #1 Google rankings for her stalker blog that she had bragged about only a couple of weeks earlier.

Claire's reaction was pretty much what one could expect.

I'm not about to spend any $ on paid hosting for you crud. You're not worth any more of my time or attention. But be assured I can resurrect your case at any time. At will.

Well, Claire, I don't think that paid or unpaid hosting had much to do with any of it. It was shut down because you made up some insane, slanderous material about people you didn't like and put it on the site along with what you believed to be their names and addresses.

Claire, who appears to be enraged by people making fun of her SEO work with her stalking sites, updated her Sean Findley blog by adding what she assumes to be ARSE's name and address. First she repeatedly posted it, urging people to call him and use *96 first. Apparently she thought that *96 blocks caller ID, since after being laughed at about it, she finally figured out that she was telling people to used the wrong code and changed it to *67.

To begin with, bragging about the search result rankings for a blog and a web site where you're blatantly stalking, slandering, and harrassing people because someone made fun of your self-published book in 2003 is more than a little "out there". But, even worse, she's bragging about search terms that real people probably wouldn't use anyway.

People don't usually search on plural terms like "stalkers" and "predators". They search on singular terms. The average person will look for "internet stalker Cozumel", not "internet stalkers Cozumel". Also, it's rare for someone to search on a full name, unless it's something like "John Fitzgerald Kennedy".

Claire O'Brien launches her new site and blog

Claire held the "official launch" of her site and blog on Friday. An anonymous poster started the thread I found Valarie Solanus' hate blog and even though Claire had claimed that she was leaving the messageboard forever and ever on May 14th, she posted the first response within two minutes of start of the thread. What an amazing coincidence that she was there to help.

A few minutes later, after taking a few moments to call a fellow female poster an "attention whoring insect" and a "bold face liar", the URL of the sites she's using to stalk Sean and ARSE were posted.

Reactions to her site were pretty much what could be expected.

Hell, Val, no one could find your SEO OPTIMIZED site so you had to post it yourself.
You couldn't be more transparent if your shopping cart was made of glass.

Claire made one last defiant registered post: "You can't lie, bully or intimidate me. That should be clear by now. But it's all you have" before switching to unregged, posting even more inaccurate personal information, and making several death threats.

It really seems that Claire O'Brien / ValerieSolanas keeps missing the point. She's the one that's been lying and trying to bully and intimidate others, and by now it should be clear that it's not going to work.

On Memorial Day weekend in 2000 Phil Kaplan, aka pud, opened the dotcom deadpool site, fuckedcompany.com. The wide-open, anything goes, nature of the messageboard attracted bright and witty people from all over the Internet, posting about everything from politics and business to religion and philosophy. It also attracted a large number of trolls and malcontents.

Claire O'Brien is a member of the latter group. She first appeared on FC in late 2002/early 2003 and posted under the pseudonym "Imagine", claiming to be a journalist and writer originally from New Zealand who was living in Florida and that she owned a consulting business specializing in domain names. Her appallingly bad grammar and spelling immediately caused the other posters on the board to doubt her claim of being a writer, and her profanity-filled rambling posts about the evils of all men and attacks on both male and female posters led them to doubt her sanity, while her homophobic and racist rants caused everyone to doubt her humanity.

Inevitably she was compared to Valerie Solanas, the radical feminist writer and prostitute that shot Andy Warhol. Claire O'Brien, who later uncharacteristically admitted her ignorance by saying that she'd never heard of Valerie Solanas prior to FC, dropped her Imagine moniker and began posting under the name ValerieSolanas.

She's obsessed about and fought with many different posters on the FC board and the spinoff boards that became popular after the FC board closed in 2006, but she's consistently chased a poster by the name of Sean (also known as Sean_in_South_Bay and SISB) around for the last five years. In 2003, she set up a "manhunt" site on Geocities, accusing him of being a molester and offering a reward for his name, address, and phone number.

She recently repeated this crime by setting up a blog titled Sexual Predators & Internet Stalkers in California & Nevada accusing Sean of being a sexual predator and accusing another board poster, a gay man who posts under the name of ARSE, of being in an incestuous relationship with his brother.

Claire O'Brien left the US in 2004 and moved to Cozumel, Mexico. She left Cozumel in 2007 after being homeless for several months. She currently lives in the Playa del Carmen area of Mexico, where she claims to work as a web designer and SEO consultant.

At some point, one has to wonder how Claire O'Brien survives. She's openly admitted on occasion that she doesn't really speak Spanish and that she's not a legal immigrant to or resident of Mexico. She's openly disdainful of Hispanics and their culture, as well as Jews.

Each site has a blurb saying "Website Optimization by Maximized Webs" or something similar, with a link to Claire's last remaining SQWARK domain, sqwark.net. She recently disabled the link sqwark.net/maximized-webs.htm, in an attempt to keep her clients from finding out about her other online activities.

They should demand a refund.

It's not like Claire O'Brien is some kind of SEO (Search Engined Optimization) whiz either. In a thread on fuckedforum.com dated April 30, 2008, Claire showed her complete ignorance about the use of robots.txt and search engines.

A robots.txt file is a simple text file that tells search engines like google and yahoo whether or not they have permission to add a site to their search results. It sits on the main directory of a given web site.

That might sound a little esoteric to some people, but for a professional Web designer to not know exactly what and where it is would be discouraging, to say the least. In all honesty, the owners of those sites don't work on the Web and are spending their time running their business. They don't realize that thosee sites are amateurish and hideously ugly and that they were ripped off by a charlatan. In each case they would have been better off hiring a high school student, and probably would have been much happier with the results.

One can only quote PT Barnum: There's a sucker born every minute, and it looks like Claire found a number of suckers.

Claire O'Brien, Baglady at Large

After Claire moved to Mexico, she lived in the Cozumel for a couple of years before she managed to burn all of her bridges by abusing the hospitality of the locals. Eventually she found herself out on the streets, left with nothing but a couple of changes of clothing, a self-autographed copy of SQWARK!, and her trusty laptop.

Having no real-life friends left to turn to and having been disowned by her family decades earlier, she found a bar with free WiFi and went online to SecondLife, a virtual reality game where she had made some cyber (and cybering) buddies and had even found a boyfriend of sorts. Life in Cozumel may have become unbearable, but she still had her online life, and with any luck she'd find someone to help her out of her predicament.

She went to her online boyfriend first. She had recently given him some money in the form of Linden Dollars that was worth a couple of hundred real American dollars. She thought that surely her SecondLife boyfriend would be willing to help her in her time of need. After all, he had said that he loved her, especially when she gave him the money and cybered with him.

The boyfriend laughed at her. He refused to help her and when she begged him, he put her on his ignore list.

Claire was looking at spending another night on the beach but she needed to get showered up for a job interview at a taco stand. Her options were running out, so she went to one of the fuckedcompany spinoff boards and paged one of her few FC friends, a person called MagBas. MagBas was the person whose money that she had in turn given to her SecondLife Boyfriend, but he had not given it to her to spend. He had decided to take a break from the game and gave it to her to hold for him in case he decided to register a new character when he returned to SecondLife.

Claire and MagBas had originally become friends after he and Sean (SISB) had an arugment online. Claire immediately saw him as an ally and she knew that he had spoken with Sean on the phone on several occasions and might have some juicy dirt on him that she could use to stalk Sean. They both shared an interest in the SecondLife game, in addition to their Internet addiction to the fuckedcompany messageboards, and in many ways were kindred spirits.

Claire told her story to MagBas and he agreed to send her fifty dollars to get a cheap motel room for a couple of days and get cleaned up. He had to send it by Western Union, since Claire was unable to use PayPal because she has no credit cards or a checking account. Claire, to her credit, thanked him and told him that he had "saved my life, I don't know what I would have done".

Her gratitude didn't last long.

A couple of months later, Sean and MagBas had stopped arguing and were acting politely civil toward each other, if not overly friendly. Claire didn't like that one bit, and since it was apparent that MagBas had no more PI (personal information) or dirt on Sean, she decided that MagBas was fair game and began openly mocking him on the board, assuming that he'd never admit that he had been cheated out of over two hundred dollars by her. She was wrong.

MagBas confronted her about it and when she told him to fuck off he immediately started a thread telling the entire board what had happened. That board closed long ago and the thread is itself is long gone, but to this day they still argue about it.

Was Claire O'Brien a prostitute?

Normally that would be the kind of thing that one would expect Claire to accuse another person of being, but there is some evidence that she was indeed a prostitute, or "paid escort" in Florida before moving to Mexico.

Now, what does any of this have to do with prostitution or being an escort?

Actually, considering that Claire was in her late 40s at the time, that might be considered something of a compliment. However, in all honesty, Key West is a party town, and after a few drinks, even something like this (a picture that Claire claims is of her) might be considered "doable".

Why does Claire call ARSE James Moore?

Claire has taken to accusing ARSE of being some person named James Moore based on what she calls "genealogical and other research based on things Arse has bragged about over the years".

In reality, she came up with that name because he made a single post with the unregistered moniker J.Moore on one of the FC spinoff boards two years ago, among many other unregistered monikers that he used. Claire did what she refers to as behavioural research on his reactions to the name (meaning that she followed ARSE around unregged and called him "James Moore" again and again while he ignored her) and decreed that ARSE was actually some 62 year old man named James H. Moore who lives in Sacramento, after looking up the name on zabasearch.com

To this day no one is sure whey she decided that 'J' stood for "James" or where the middle initial 'H' came from but Claire. Then again, no one believes it but her either.

Then Claire wonders why she gets banned and asked to leave the board by the moderator. Some people never get a clue.

Who is ARSE and why is Claire O'Brien stalking him?

As always, the answer to the question of why Claire O'Brien stalks people is quite simple: She's crazy.

ARSE is an openly gay computer programmer that has posted on the FC boards since shortly after they opened. For Claire, who is highly homophobic, that alone would be reason enough to stalk him, but ARSE is also friends with Sean, Val's primary target which makes him an irresistable target.

Recently, some pictures of ARSE and his boyfriend were posted on the FF board and Claire decided to add him to her Sean stalking sites, accusing ARSE of incest by making the ridiculous claim that his boyfriend is also his brother. She made the same statement on the fuckedforum.com board.

She also ARSE of threatening another poster's (James Marks) son, saying that ARSE made posts like "Do you think you'd stop if he was to stick a screwdriver through Bastard's ears?" and "So, when you fucked Boy the first time, did he bleed?".

However, there's are some problems with that accusation. The thread that she links to is not the original thread where the threats were posted. The original thread was deleted by the board's moderator, but a screenshot is here. The screenshot clearly shows that the only registered poster in the thread was James Marks, who posts as "Hello" and "Fixed", among other monikers. The other posts in the thread were made by "dots" (.) which is a moniker used on the board for unregistered posting.

The screenshot also shows that the thread's title was "Would ARSE mind if I killed his dog?" and that James' registered post in the thread was a suggestion to "Maybe cut its head off and leave it on ARSE's doorstep". This is hardly surprising and James Marks is well known for threatening other users.

Needless to say, James is one of the few people that Claire gets along with, but even so, she's fought with him on occasion. Still, they do seem to be birds of a feather.

Why is Claire O'Brien stalking Sean William Findley?

Asking why Claire stalks is like a child asking their parent why the sky is blue: That's just the way it is. But the reason that Claire O'Brien stalks and slanders Sean Findley and his friends is a bit more complex.

Back in 2003, when Claire was spamming the FC messageboard about her SQWARK! book, among the many who questioned her ability to write a book were a programmer and college student that posted under the name Sean_in_South_Bay (AKA Sean and SISB) and a professional British writer who used the pseudonym The_Noble_Pig.

This infuriated O'Brien and she retaliated against SISB by putting a site on geocities.com where she accused him of being a molestor and begged people for his name and address.

She found Noble Pig's IP address in her site's logs after he visited the sqwark.com and used it to contact his employers and turn him in for surfing the Internet from work.

She also posted the IP addresses of any of her site's visitors that had fuckedcompany.com referrals after begging people to visit the site. This resulted in her going from being regarded as mere a dull-witted troll to being one of the most hated posters on the board.

When asked why she stalks people, Claire replies,

Yeah? So what? He fucking asked for it. I told him I would and he told me to do it. Cant get more owned than that.

SQWARK! - Claire O'Brien, Plagarist

Back in 2003, Claire began bragging about her upcoming masterpiece, a book she said that she was writing that was to be titled "SQWARK!". According to O'Brien, this book would make her fortune and she posted about it incessantly, spamming one thread after another. She said that it was an expose of what really went on in the high-dollar wheel-and-deal world of Internet domain name brokering during the dotcom boom.

The idea of Claire writing a book intrigued much of the board since up until then she hadn't displayed the ability to make a coherent post, much less write a book and get it published. The commonly held opinion was that Claire was making the whole thing up. Every time that she was asked about the book she'd say that she was "working with different publishers" and "making final arrangements with her soliciter", or "discussing the cover art with the artist" or any number of excuses.

Then one day she announced that her book, SQWARK!, was available for sale.

SQWARK! was eventually printed by Trafford, a vanity press company that charged O'Brien over a thousand dollars to print the book and get an ISBN numberso that it could be listed on Amazon.com. Apparently no one bothered to explain to her that publishers pay authors to write, not the other way around.

Since everyone already knew that Claire couldn't write, and the book was selling for around $50.00 for a two-volume copy, none of the board users

It turned out that Claire had copied all of the posts from the old afternic.com message boards - without permission from the board owners or the users whose posts she stole - then dumped them into a word document and deemed it the best "righting since Shakeespeare", as she put it. Traditionally, the rights to the posts on messageboards belong to the person making the post. While it's perfectly legal in the US to quote posts under the fair use laws, it is not okay to take literally every post from a messageboard and sell it as a book for profit. Claire had plagarized the entire board to create her book.

None of that made any difference, of course. Like most everything else that Claire has done in her life, the book was a tremendous flop. According to one of the few people that she could convince to review the book, Patrick O'Keefe at sitepoint.com, O'Brien made some severe mistakes.

Sqwark! The Book is a print version of hundreds of posts from the old AN Community Forums. This is all that’s included in the book. There’s no commentary, no real introduction -- nothing else at all.

The posts published here are not organized into any specific categories. It appears that the posts are ordered by date, but not by thread. As a result, frequently, the reader doesn’t know which replies are linked, or where any given reply fits in. I found this to be annoying as I spent a good deal of time trying to piece posts together.

This book is billed as part humor, part useful information. I can’t understand why. It isn’t that funny and the information contained within isn’t valuable. To top it off, Sqwark! The Book costs $49.95. I know it comes in two volumes, but it is still definitely overpriced, and not really worth your money or your time.

Other reviewers at amazon.com were less kind.

I'm going to print up and bind the archives of my system logs from 2003 and sell them for $25. More interesting, better price.

This book was back in its box on the way for a refund in less than 5 minutes. It must be a joke. Stay away from this. It would have been better if all the pages were blank.

One might wonder what Claire had to say about all of this.
